Is Notre-Dame free to enter?

Yes — entry is free. Here’s how reservations work, and what our service adds.

Entry to Notre-Dame de Paris is free of charge and subject to official availability. At busy times, a free timed reservation may be required to enter, and same-day slots can disappear quickly — especially in high season.

Notre-Dame Companion is an independent service. We do not sell cathedral entry. What you pay for is time and peace of mind: we monitor availability and secure the timed reservation for you, and you get a premium digital companion — an audio guide, history content, an interior route, nearby recommendations, and a practical guide on web and apps.

If you have the time and flexibility, you can absolutely obtain the free official reservation yourself. If you’d rather arrive with everything arranged — your time slot secured or refunded, and a beautifully designed guide in your pocket — that’s what we’re here for.

What exactly am I paying for?

Your purchase covers our reservation-assistance service and your digital companion: the audio guide, interior route, nearby recommendations, practical guide, and app + web access. Entry to the cathedral itself is free and subject to official availability — we take care of securing your timed reservation so you don’t have to.

What if you can’t secure my reservation?

You get a full refund. If your reservation is not secured at least 2 hours before your visit time, you are automatically eligible — no arguing, no forms.

When do I receive my entry QR code?

Your digital companion unlocks immediately after payment. Your timed-entry reservation QR is delivered to your access page as soon as it is secured — usually well before your visit.

Can my time slot differ from what I selected?

Your reservation may be secured up to 30 minutes before or after your selected time, depending on official availability. You always see the accepted window before paying.

Can I change my visit date later?

Yes — you can request a date or time change up to 3 days before your visit from your account.

If your reservation is not secured at least 2 hours before your visit, you get a full refund — automatically eligible, no arguing.
